    Horsepower & Torque

    The GM 2.7L Turbo L3B is a perfect blend of modern engine tech and innovation that has created a big punch in a small package.

    • 310 Horsepower @ 5,600 RPM
    • 430 lb-ft of Torque @ 1,500 RPM
    This new 4 cylinder engine was designed by GM for their light duty trucks and special attention to detail was paid to making sure that this truck is built for work!

    Some innovative features that sent the Chevy L3B apart is features like Active Fuel Management, Direct Injection, Auto Start/Stop, Active Thermal Management and a 3-Phase Camshaft.

    Coupled with an 8-speed transmission, the 2.7L turbo engine is ready for anything that you can throw at it!

      Tow Capacity

      Another highlight of the Chevy trucks equipped with the 2.7L turbo is the fact that despite its relatively small size, the L3B can tow with the best of them.

      • Up to 9,600 pounds of tow capacity
      • Up to 2,280 pounds of payload capacity

      As you can read, the L3B is ready for the work site or your next outing with the tow and payload capacity to move whatever you need transported.
      2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Towing

        Stuffed Full of Advanced Technology

        The 2.7L Turbo 4-cylinder engine is packed with tried and tested as well as new technology to provide excellent fuel economy and good performance.

        Variable Valve Timing
        Adjusts the timing of valve lift to improve performance, fuel economy or emissions.

        Direct Injection
        Fuel is injected directly into the combustion chamber for better mixture of the fuel with the air. This improves emissions as well as fuel economy and engine performance.

        Active Fuel Management
        Initially developed by General Motors for the 5.3L V8, Active Fuel Management (AFM) deactivates half of the cylinders to improve fuel economy under light duty application.

        3-Phase Camshaft
        Grooves in the Intake camshaft allow for the camshaft to slide depending on engine demand.

        • "High Lift" mode for performance.
        • "Low Lift" mode for normal driving.
        • "AFM" mode for maximum fuel efficiency.
